I subscribe to a great magazine, The Week, which is a compilation of the news, editorials, op-ed pieces and reviews from the previous week, from varied sources. I highly recommend it. Two funny recent blurbs:
Surveillance cameras recorded Catherine Anne Delgado, 35, mounting a desperate midnight raid on Uncle Bob's Fudge Kitchen in Maryland. Delgado was later found in a state of fudge-smeared delirium, pockets bulging with bricks of raw chocolate. "She saw the Rocky Road and it was all over," said Hal Dalton of the Annapolis police.
Four California firemen are suing the city of San Diego because their lesbian fire chief ordered them to drive a fire engine in an annual gay pride parade. The three-hour ordeal was allegedly punctuated by ribald catcalls from the crowd, among them: "you're making me hot," "you can put out my fire," and, somewhat predictably, "show me your hose." This was yet another another example of how radical homosexual activists in positions of authority force their agenda on unwilling citizens," said Richard Thompson of the conservative Thomas More Law Center.
